Tireseas- blue
Blue is usually the color representing water. One can see their reflection in the water. The color blue can represent the truth. Tireseas sees the truth even though he is blind.
Creon- orange
Orange symbolizes energy. Creon is energetic and argues a lot with Oedipus.
Oedipus- black
Black represents mystery and fear. Oedipus didn't know what his past was like and was fearful that it would be bad.
Jocasta- red
Red represents love. Jocasta loves Oedipus as a husband and after realizing he is her son she tried stopping him from going and finding out the truth because she knew it would hurt him too much.
Messenger- yellow
Yellow represents joy and optimism. The messenger told Oedipus what he thought was good news about his Kings death.
Shepard- pink
Pink symbolizes youth and babies. The shepard set Oedipus' ankles free and took him to a family which took him in as their son.

Jocasta's Diary
Dear Diary,
The city of Thebes is suffering with this plague upon us. The city is crumbling and people are dying. Tiresis and the prophets told my king and husband that he was the reason Thebes was suffering. I told Oedipus,"Brush them from your mind. Whatever the god needs and seeks he'll bring to light himself, with ease." (798-799) He shouldn't believe the prophets because the Gods would reveal the truth. I heard Oedipus screaming today and I ran downstairs asking, "For the love of god, Oedipus, tell me too, what is it? Why this rage? You're so unbending." (767-769) Creon and Oedipus have been arguing a lot lately and I can't stand it. I tried to calm him down by getting to the bottom of the fight. We then talked about my past with king Laius and this sparked weird emotions in him. He started asking me questions about Laius like, "How did he look? Describe him. Had he reached his prime?" (816-817) This really worried me and confused me.

Rape
As I entered level two
I saw rapists in front of me
All of them together, Sandusky and his whole crew
Virgil and I walked towards them, over by the death tree
They were next to each other
Laying together in groups of three
Each one crying, being attacked by the other
Now felt the pain caused by rape
All Wishing they could be home back with their mother
I tried to ask Sandusky about his punishment
To quickly learn that for eternity
They would be burned and reminded of what they did constantly by other men
Others stood around waiting to be burned
Chanting the names of the victims
Reminding each rapist of what they have done.
They all now experienced the pain they caused to others
When deciding to touch children in the worldly life
And their suffering would never end in hell.
Virgil then told me that he couldn't handle the smell of burning flesh
So we continued walking past all the men
To see that they all had to suffer the same punishment.
Sandusky screamed for us to come back and save him
But a demon grabbed him back by the feet and hung him upside down over the flames
Screams were all we heard as we continued past these rapists.
What a horrible eternity they had to live
Being burned and reminded of their horrible actions
Against innocent children who didn't know what they had done.
In the end they all deserved
The pain they had to suffer for the wrong,
and pain they caused to their victims and their families.
My canto is in Level two with the lustful. They were lustful for younger children and caused them permanent mental pain. The punishment fits the crime because the pain they caused others is in return caused to them by being burned and constantly reminded of their victims.
